Skin Treatments
Carefully selected clinical peels designed around your skin condition, tolerance and long-term goals.
Chemical peels use carefully selected acids to support controlled exfoliation and skin renewal. The formulation and strength are chosen according to your skin, treatment history and the concerns you would like to address.
Some peels are designed to refresh the surface with little visible peeling, while others work more deeply and involve a more considered recovery period. There is no single peel that is suitable for everyone.
At Bavary Clinic, the recommendation begins with an assessment of your skin rather than with a product. This helps us decide whether a peel is appropriate, which option may be most suitable and how it fits within your wider skin plan.

A deeper explanation of how peels are selected, how they interact with the skin and why preparation and aftercare matter.
Chemical peels work by applying a carefully selected solution to the skin in order to create controlled exfoliation. Depending on the formulation, this may remain within the superficial layers or act more deeply. The purpose is not simply to make the skin peel visibly, but to influence renewal in a measured and clinically appropriate way.
The acids commonly used in professional peels have different properties. Some are more suitable for congestion and excess oil, while others may be selected for visible pigmentation, texture or overall skin quality. Concentration alone does not determine how a peel behaves. The formulation, pH, contact time, number of layers and condition of the skin all matter.
Skin preparation may be advised before treatment, particularly where pigmentation is a concern or a more active peel is being considered. Preparation helps the practitioner assess tolerance, support the skin barrier and reduce avoidable irritation.
Aftercare is equally important. The skin may be more sensitive during recovery, making gentle skincare and consistent sun protection essential. Picking, exfoliating too soon or using unsuitable active products can interfere with recovery and increase the likelihood of irritation.
Chemical peels are therefore best understood as part of a wider skin strategy rather than an isolated procedure. The right peel, used at the right time and supported by appropriate home care, may contribute to gradual improvements in clarity, tone and texture.
Suitability depends on your individual concerns, medical history and the treatment being considered.
The Bavary Approach™
“The treatment itself is only one part of the recommendation.”
We do not begin with procedures. We begin by understanding you, your concerns and what will genuinely support a balanced, long-term result.
Sometimes that means the treatment you are considering. Sometimes it means preparation first, choosing a different approach or waiting until the time is right.
Our role is not simply to perform treatments. It is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based judgement.
Your exact journey will be tailored to the treatment, your individual needs and the recommendations made during assessment.
We take time to understand your concerns, medical history and treatment goals before making a recommendation.
Any preparation required before treatment will be explained clearly, including relevant skincare or lifestyle guidance.
Your treatment is carried out in a calm, controlled clinical setting with your comfort and safety considered throughout.
You receive tailored guidance on recovery, aftercare and what to expect in the days following treatment.
Your progress can be reviewed and any next steps are recommended only where they are appropriate.
Chemical peels are not always the right first step. If the skin is inflamed, sensitised or the barrier is compromised, treatment may need to be delayed.
We may recommend strengthening the skin first, adjusting home care or choosing an alternative treatment. The aim is not to perform the most treatment, but to recommend what is appropriate.
Results vary according to the treatment selected, your starting point and how your body responds. Some changes may be visible after one appointment, while other goals may require a longer-term plan.
A course or combination of treatments may be recommended, but only where it is clinically appropriate. Ongoing care is tailored rather than prescribed as a fixed schedule.
General guidance only. Your practitioner will explain what applies to you and the treatment being considered.
